The Stapleton-Springer Winery came into being in 2004. The former US Ambassador Craig Stapleton, lawyer Benjamin Stapleton and winemaker Jaroslav Springer entered into an agreement to create a winery bearing the names of these founding members which was to produce red wine of the highest quality.
In our winery Stapleton-Springer we specialize in creation of red wines mostly from Pinot Noir, which we love. White wines are created from Chardonnay. We introduced fully organic regime in 2007 and since 2011 we are officially BIO-certified winery. Reverence for nature and our vineyards is fundamental for our work, because we want to pass them on next generation as clean and pure as possible. Organic care promotes creation of more antioxidants in our grapes, and therefore superior quality and distinguished taste.
We planted the vineyard plots of Čtvrtě, Bratáčky, Haltýřky, Záhřebenské, Lumperky and Trkmansko in 75% by Pinot Noir, 5% by Saint Laurent, 5 % by Blau Portugieser, and 10 % by Chardonnay. Our total area of vineyards is 20 hectares. We gradually replace the sorts of Blue Portugieser and Saint Laurent by Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Our wines are natural, truthfull and full of life.
