Tomas Springer went to London yesterday. He sent a word that Charles Lea (Lea & Sandeman) ordered two pallets of our wines. Thank you, Charles. We will endeavor to keep working so that our Moravian wines Stapleton-Springer will make happy both people in the Czech Rep and abroad.
We are to finish the works at our wineyards. The vintage 2015 is not in barrels, yet, but all we could do on wineyards we have done and now it´s up to the Lord God. We might to get a good vintage this year. We have managed to maintain the grapes healthy applying organic way, and they started to mature.
See the Čtvrtě vineyard on the picture, hoed this morning. We´ll protect vineyards against starlings and we´ll get ready for the coming harvest in the cellar during August. Keep your fingers crossed.
There is a rather dry weather in Boretice these days, but our vines look to be in a good shape. The holiday time has arrived, so to the vineyards early morning and perhaps to a swimming pool during the lunchtime. Enjoy the holiday time and cheers!
There have been a plenty of chemicals used around us these days. That is why I´m so proud that we apply organic way to look after our vineyards. We hoe grass manually, and Jirka as Jirka Janulik has repaired our swivel (plough) section, we manage to look after the older vineyards using the mechanics. There is a big dry time these days, so when I see a grassed vineyard, it misses nutrients and water. I hope the rain will come eventually. Deer and hares eat the shoots, but we have got used to it over the years.
It seems that people like our wine we have been creating over the last years, and the number of those who appreciate our sensitive approach and care has been growing. And that is why. Cheers!
Note: Info for those who would like to get Chardonnay and Blanc de Pinot Noir - it´s coming soon!
